The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has expressed sorrow over the killings in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State. He described the incident as barbaric and unjustified, and extended condolences to families affected by the attack, calling the loss of innocent lives tragic and unacceptable.
In a condolence message issued on Wednesday by his Press Secretary, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir urged security agencies to strengthen efforts to prevent a repeat of the violence. He said the incident raised serious concern and required swift action by authorities. “The situation is worrisome and calls for urgent intervention by concern authorities,” the statement said.
Speaking on behalf of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Sulu-Gambari also commiserated with the Emir of Kaiama, Alhaji Omar Mu’azu Kiyaru IV. He praised Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his prompt response to the incident and offered prayers for the victims, asking God to forgive the deceased and grant comfort to their families.
