The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the closure of its 2025 recruitment portal after receiving 1,911,141 applications from across Nigeria. The portal closed on August 11, 2025, following a four-week application period that began on July 14.
The recruitment exercise covers 30,000 positions approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu under the Federal Government’s employment directive. The positions are distributed across four key agencies: the Nigeria Immigration Service (10,000 slots), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (10,000), the Nigerian Correctional Service (5,150), and the Federal Fire Service (5,000).
According to a statement posted on the Board’s official Facebook page, the delay in releasing the shortlist is due to an ongoing verification process aimed at ensuring that only qualified and suitable applicants proceed to the next stage.
The CDCFIB urged applicants to remain patient and avoid misinformation, assuring that updates will be communicated soon. It also advised candidates to monitor the official recruitment website—https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng—and to clear their email inboxes to avoid missing important messages once the shortlist is published.
The Board reaffirmed its commitment to a transparent and merit-based recruitment process, emphasizing that every stage of the exercise will adhere to fairness and due process.
