Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf says his administration will present a budget of more than ₦1 trillion for the 2026 fiscal year, marking the state’s first proposal to cross the trillion-naira threshold.
Yusuf said the document is in its final stage and will be sent to the Kano State House of Assembly soon for review and approval. He explained that the budget will reflect his government’s priorities for the coming year and will guide spending once lawmakers pass it.
The governor described the plan as a major step in shaping the state’s development agenda and said the executive will work with the legislature to complete the process.
