The Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Professor Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman, will mark his 60th birthday with a special prayer session in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The event, commemorating his diamond jubilee, is scheduled for Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 7:00 a.m. It will take place at his residence in the Government Reserved Area (GRA) of Ilorin. Guests are expected to arrive on time for the early morning gathering.
Al-Sheikh Abdulmumeen Hanafi Ayara, the National Missioner of the Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria (Home and Abroad), will deliver a special lecture during the prayer session.
Professor Sulaiman, also known by his traditional title Amana Ngeri, is a former Minister of National Planning and a respected scholar of political science. He has led NILDS since 2019, overseeing research and training that support Nigeria’s National Assembly and promote democratic governance.
Friends, colleagues, and family members are expected to join him in thanksgiving and reflection as he celebrates six decades of life, service, and leadership.
