The 3SU APC Integrity Movement has paid a courtesy visit to the Kwara South Elders Forum, led by Chief (Dr.) J.B. Ayeni, to formally seek the forum’s support for the 2027 Kwara North governorship agenda. The meeting took place on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Chief Ayeni’s residence in Ilorin.

Convener of the movement, Alhaji Buhari Muhammad Kaiama, said the visit was to appreciate the forum’s public endorsement of the Kwara North agenda and to build a collaborative relationship between the youth-led movement and the elders’ group ahead of the 2027 elections.

Chairman of the 3SU APC Integrity Movement, Professor Olaitan Bashiru Ibrahim, explained that the visit was not a campaign but a consultation in line with INEC’s electoral timetable. He reaffirmed the group’s support for Senator Sulaiman Sadiq Umar (3SU), describing him as the best candidate to advance the Kwara North cause.
Also speaking, Alhaji Ibrahim Hammed from Ilorin West emphasized that the movement aligns with the elders’ vision, describing the Kwara North project as a collective effort that deserves continuity.
Women leader of the Kwara South chapter, Madam Foluke Ajide from Isin LGA, praised Chief Ayeni for boldly championing the Kwara North cause, recalling the elders’ accurate prediction of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s 2019 emergence. She declared that “there is no other choice in 2027 except Senator Sulaiman Sadiq Umar,” urging the forum to remain resolute.
Deputy Chairman of the Kwara South Elders Forum, Mr. Shitta Adegbola from Offa, lauded the movement’s initiative, revealing that the forum had long begun preparations to support Senator Umar’s emergence in 2027. He described the senator as intelligent, disciplined, and capable of leading the state.
In his remarks, Chief Ayeni expressed deep appreciation for the visit and, in a symbolic gesture, chose to stand while addressing the delegation—recalling how President Bola Tinubu once stood to receive Kwara elders in 2023. He declared his full support for the movement, saying, “My goal of making Senator Sulaiman Sadiq Umar the next Governor of Kwara State will not be compromised.”
He pledged to work closely with the movement and urged them to seek the elders’ assistance whenever needed. The meeting ended with a closing prayer by Mrs. Elizabeth Babatunde, the 3SU APC Integrity Movement’s South-South/Southeast Coordinator.
