Former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has presented a brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser to the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Muhammed Bashir Dansuki, during a courtesy visit shortly after arriving in Kwara State.
The donation followed an earlier assurance by Saraki that the vehicle would be delivered. He had told the Chief Imam: “I looked outside expecting to see a vehicle, but there was none. We were patient and waited. However, I want to assure you that before 1:00 p.m. tomorrow, you will receive a Toyota Land Cruiser.”
Alongside the vehicle, Saraki donated assorted gift items and a cash contribution worth millions of naira to support the Chief Imam and his religious activities.
The Chief Imam thanked the former Senate President for the gesture, describing it as a sign of his continued respect for the Ilorin Emirate and its religious institutions. He prayed for Allah’s guidance, protection, and blessings upon Saraki.
The Islamic leader also offered prayers for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Kwara State, Engr. Suleiman Bolakale Kawu, asking Allah to grant him wisdom, guidance, and success ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
